About Dearborn

Dearborn is Henry Ford's hometown and the longtime headquarters of the Ford Motor Company. The Henry Ford — the museum complex combining the Museum of American Innovation and Greenfield Village — is Michigan's most-visited cultural attraction, and the Ford Rouge Factory Tour shows the F-150 being built on a working line.

The city is also the center of Arab American life in the United States. East Dearborn's Warren Avenue and Michigan Avenue corridors hold an unmatched density of Middle Eastern restaurants, bakeries, butchers and markets, and the Arab American National Museum downtown tells that community's story. The annual Dearborn Homecoming festival fills Ford Field Park each summer.

Dearborn is two downtowns: West Dearborn around Michigan Avenue and West Village Drive with its shops, restaurants and the Wagner Place development, and East Dearborn along Warren Avenue with its markets and eateries. The University of Michigan-Dearborn and Henry Ford College add a student presence.
